Music Playback Features

Interactive Now-Playing Interface

Every track displays a persistent control message with:

​

Track Information

• Title and Artist with clickable link
• Album artwork as thumbnail accessory
• Duration display (or “Live” for streams)
• Requester mention showing who added the track
• Queue status showing position and upcoming count

​

Control Buttons

Play/Pause Button

• Toggle between playing and paused states
• Disabled when no track is playing
• Requires Fairplay mod permission when Fairplay mode is active
• Shows ephemeral confirmation plus public notification

Skip Button

• Skip to next track in queue
• Requires active vote or premium subscription
• Under Fairplay: restricted to track owner or mod
• Disabled when loop mode is set to Track
• 5-second cooldown per user

Stop Button

• Stops playback and clears entire queue
• Disconnects bot from voice channel
• Requires Fairplay mod permission when Fairplay mode is active
• Shows public notification of who stopped playback

More (Settings) Button

• Opens advanced settings modal
• Requires active vote or premium subscription
• Access to volume, loop, fairplay, autoplay, favourites, and playlists
• Modal stays open for 60 seconds

Advanced Settings Modal

Click the More button to access:

Volume Control (0-150)

• Text input for precise adjustment
• Default: server setting or 100
• Maximum: 150 for bass-heavy tracks
• Requires Fairplay mod when Fairplay is active
• Real-time adjustment without playback interruption

Loop Mode Selection

• None - Standard queue progression
• Track - Repeat current track indefinitely
• Queue - Repeat entire queue when it finishes
• Disabled when Fairplay mode is active
• Radio group selector with current mode highlighted

Fairplay Mode Toggle (Mod Only)

• Enable/disable democratic queue rotation
• Automatically rotates between requesters
• Restricts controls to track owners or mods
• Requires Mute Members permission or Fairplay mod role
• Checkbox with current state

Autoplay Toggle

• Enable/disable automatic similar track queueing
• Activates when queue drops below 2 tracks
• Checkbox with current state

​

Favourite Current Track

• Add or remove track from your favourites library
• Not available for livestreams
• Checkbox shows current favourite status
• Syncs across all servers

Add to Playlist

• Dropdown showing all your personal playlists
• Instantly adds current track to selected playlist
• Leave blank to skip

Basic Controls

/play <query>

• Search and play
• Add to queue if already playing
• Supports song names, artists, albums
• 10-second cooldown (5.5s for voters/premium)

/search <query> [source]

• Interactive search interface
• Choose between Deezer and Apple Music
• Browse tracks, albums, artists, playlists
• 15-second cooldown (8.25s for voters/premium)

/pause

• Pause current playback
• Requires same voice channel
• Fairplay mod only when Fairplay is active
• 7-second cooldown

/resume

• Resume paused playback
• Requires same voice channel
• Fairplay mod only when Fairplay is active
• 7-second cooldown

/stop

• Stop playback and clear queue
• Disconnects from voice channel
• Fairplay mod only when Fairplay is active
• 20-second cooldown

Advanced Controls

/skip [count] [name]

• Skip one or more tracks
• Skip to specific song by name using fuzzy matching
• Under Fairplay: restricted to track owner or mod for skip-ahead
• Blocked when loop mode is Track
• 10-second cooldown (5.5s for voters/premium)

/previous

• Play previous track from history
• Fully blocked when Fairplay is active
• Requires active vote or premium
• 8-second cooldown (4.4s for voters/premium)

/seek <position>

• Seek to specific timestamp
• Format: “1:30” or “90” or “2:15:30”
• Not available for livestreams
• Fairplay mod only when Fairplay is active
• 10-second cooldown (5.5s for voters/premium)

Stage Channel Support

• Automatic speaker promotion
• Suppression state management
• Fallback handling for permission issues

Duration Filtering

• Minimum track length: 45 seconds
• Livestream detection and filtering
• Automatic removal of too-short tracks

24/7 Mode

• Optional persistent voice channel presence
• Configurable per server via /twentyfourseven
• Bot stays in channel even when queue is empty

History Tracking

• All played tracks recorded per user
• Viewable via /history command
• Used for autoplay recommendations
