# Privacy Policy

> What data Eleven collects, why, and how to request its deletion.

<Note>
  Last updated: July 26, 2026.
</Note>

This policy explains what data Eleven collects to function, why it's collected, and how you can request its removal.

## Data we store

Eleven stores the minimum data needed to power its features. This falls into a few categories:

### Server (guild) settings

For each server Eleven is added to, we store server-level configuration — not personal data about individual members:

* Server ID
* Default volume, Fairplay and autoplay defaults, Fairplay mod role ID
* 24/7 mode settings and associated channel IDs

### Your premium status

If you or a server you're in has Premium:

* Your Discord user ID, plan tier, and how many server activations you've used
* For server activations: which server ID, and which user ID activated it

### Your music library

If you use favourites, history, or playlists:

* **Favourites and listening history** — stored against your Discord user ID, along with a toggle for whether history tracking is enabled
* **Playlists** — playlist names and track counts, tied to your user ID
* **Playlist tracks** — the encoded track data, position in the playlist, and which user added it
* **Spotify profile link** — if you choose to link a public Spotify profile URL to your account,

### Voting data

If you vote for Eleven on Top.gg:

* Your Discord user ID and Top.gg user ID
* Vote timestamps, vote count, and vote weight, used to grant temporary access to gated features

## Why we collect it

Each piece of data above exists to directly power a feature you use — remembering your playlists, applying your server's default settings, recognizing your vote or premium status, and so on. We don't collect data beyond what's needed to run these features.

## What we don't collect

Eleven doesn't record the audio of your voice channels, read the content of your text messages beyond what's needed to parse a command directed at it, or collect data from servers or channels it hasn't been added to.

## How data is stored

Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database operated by us, with Redis used for short-lived state like cooldowns and caching. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties except where necessary to provide the service — for example, sending a search query to Deezer or Apple Music, or streaming audio through a Lavalink node.

## Data retention

Server and user data persists for as long as Eleven remains active in a server, or until you request deletion. Removing Eleven from your server doesn't automatically delete stored data, since servers commonly re-invite Eleven later — but you can request removal at any time (see below).

## Your choices

You're in control of most of the data Eleven stores about you:

* **History** — clear your history at any time
* **Favourites and playlists** — remove individual entries or delete playlists you no longer want
* **Spotify profile link** — unlink at any time

## Children's privacy

Eleven is intended for use within Discord, which requires users to meet Discord's own minimum age requirements. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone who doesn't meet those requirements.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Eleven's features change. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
